Of Grief and Playlists: Bye, NU 107

If time travel became possible today and I came face-to-face with my 16-year old self, I would probably sneer at whatever 31-year old me would say.  For one thing, 16-year old me would NEVER believe I'd be depressed over the closure of a rock radio station 15 years later.

What had happened to me?  Bubblegum-pop-music-loving me was introduced to NU 107.5 and alternative music, that's what.  Little did I know that it was fate.

We all grieve in different ways.  The only way that made sense to me was to make a "Bye NU" playlist.  Originally, it was supposed to include only the songs played by the DJs after their farewells, but I decided to also add songs we recalled being played during NU's final week & those we heard first or only on NU.

NU, thank you for being brave and true.
